Sculpting and Mold-Making: Basic 1
w/ Delinda VanneBrightyn

VanneBrightyn takes you through the process for two types of two-part rubber molds: a brush-on mold and a poured mold. With these skills, you can replicate wax copies of your original sculpted art work. Making rubber molds saves time, enabling you to easily recreate multiples, allows alteration to each wax copy creating variations of the original, or enables you to have a back-up in case something goes wrong in the casting process. The wax copies can then be used to cast in glass, bronze, or other metals. Once your wax copy is poured, we will discuss proper preparation for the casting process of your choice. You will learn what you need to pursue this process in your own studio or to be able to utilize the mold-making section of the TIGA COMMUNITY ACCESS STUDIO with minimal assistance.

Level: Beginning - Intermediate
Thursday, February 25 - Sunday February 28
10:00am - 5:00pm each day.
